Lauderdale Tower, the Barbican, London

Apartment alterations and refurbishment

The Barbican has seen a real revival of  appreciation of the design quality of this exceptional estate and this apartment on one of the highest levels of Lauderdale tower adds exceptional views over London to the pleasure of living in the Barbican.  Upgrading this grade II listed apartment to the requirements of today involved creating a more open living dining area and changes to the configurations of the bedrooms and bathrooms whilst respecting and enhancing the wonderful architecture of the building.

Teak wood, white Corian and dark brown leather are used in the lounge whilst the bathrooms are upgraded with new sanitaryware, dark wood storage cupboards and new mirrors.

The smaller bedrooms for the children offer new wardrobes and a fold down study/ reading desk in each room.  The master bedroom is fitted with new wardrobes and bespoke bed and a makeup table. Original Marimekko curtains, Seventies metal wall lights from Germany and Scandinavian furniture completes the look.
